There were some intense storms rolling through the hills tonight. The thunder sort of churns itself over and again in this narrow valley, as if it likes to hear itself rumble. Or maybe it just likes to shake my windows. The street looked more like a rushing river about a half hour ago, and the lightning was making a strobe effect on its movement. It looked alien, as if I had never peered out the front door before that very moment.

It is not that much longer before I am on my way to O'Hare once again. I've secured a parking spot in Madison, so that I will be able to take the Van Galder Bus to the flughafen. This will save me a small fortune in parking money, to be sure. I picked up my Metro bus pass on Monday. Hey, it's the one good thing about having to pay tuition for an internship -- ASM Bus Passes! yay!

Although I've been studying German, I haven't learned all that much about conjugating verbs and forming sentences and whatnot. I can read it easily now, though, even if I can't understand what I'm saying. However, on the top of my priority list was learning to say fluently:

Ich moechte, bitte, einen kleinen milchshak mit schokolade und bananae.
