Currently playing: Eruption by Van Halen

At 12:54 am I saw a meteor blaze across the sky.

````````
That's the bad thing about being an atheist. You can't just pray to your particular god after you're a total cad and then delude yourself into believing you're absolved. Instead, you have to live with it -- and actually apologize for the misdeed -- fully realizing that others probably won't forgive you at all. You just live with it and bear the consequences without kidding yourself. Or you don't give in so that you don't have to live with the guilt and disappointment and resentment.
magnetic poetry
So I ended up at Barnes and Noble on Saturday, looking for a couple of books. Ended up making an impulsive purchase of magnetic poetry words for the refrigerator. I have thought of buying them before, but my better judgement usually wins out. Nearly bought the Erotic set, but then I thought, what's the point of working myself up for nothing. Instead, I got the standard.
So I sat down on the kitchen floor and tore the little pieces apart and then tried to compose my first poem. Huh. I like the placement of them near to the ground on the refrigerator, so that I have to sit on the hard floor. It yields a different perspective.
And here is the first poem:
tell me of your rust ing dream s
in a language d void of life
chant to me a symphony of lie s
in the wax ing moon light
whisper to the scream ing wind
of what you frantic ly want
manipulate me with a bitter tongue
but sing as if you are not.
