She cautiously stepped onto the unlit sidewalk and followed it around the side of the dark, amorphous house. She walked slowly up to the front entrance by the light of the moon and heard his approach from the interior before she could reach to sound the doorbell. The porch light flashed on and there in the doorway he stood. Just as she had remembered him, standing tall with a straight back and looking intently at her with ice blue eyes. Ten years, is it possible? Ten years. Their eyes locked, the glass reflected. He quietly held open the door and she stepped inside to the warmth.
